Dust and Stardust Ltd is a unique, independent brand combining two in-house designed collections: children’s wear label Stardust and the recently launched women’s wear label Dust.
They started the company with the Stardust label, founded in 1998 and over 10 years have created a collection of baby clothes, retro greeting cards, gifts, accessories and children’s clothes with a difference. Inspired by popular culture iconography, punk rock and a splash of kitsch, they aim to add a sprinkling of pizzazz and panache to young families everywhere.
Their first big break came when Stardust’s ‘Baby Punk’ items were featured at the Vivienne Westwood exhibition at the V&A Museum in 2004. From this auspicious beginning their collection has gone on to be stocked in over 200 shops worldwide including of course their flagship Dust boutique in South London.
The Stardust range has successfully grown into a popular brand with the use of vibrant colours, quality fabrics and strong quirky designs to create stand-out pieces. The collection has also developed a strong identity for making and printing personalised kids’ clothes. The range appeals as much to Mums and Dads as it does the kids, and allows parents to pass on their sense of urban rebellion to their kids, with fashions that are way too cool for school!
